Main Responsibilities:
  • Saturday Morning Rotation, 4 hours every third Saturday
  • Troubleshooting equipment including VFDs, pumps, motors, PLCs, pneumatics, and robots
  • Diagnose issues / efficiently modify and repair without supervision
  • Assist with preventative maintenance on machinery

Poultry Veterinarian
Indiana Farms
Monday-Friday (7am-4:30pm)
Full Time
Main Responsibilities:
  • Travel to and provide veterinary oversight for poultry health and welfare across all Wabash Valley farm divisions. (Indiana / Illinois / Ohio)
  • Develop and implement health management programs, including vaccination protocols, disease prevention strategies, and treatment plans.
  • Conduct regular farm visits to assess flock health, diagnose illnesses, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with biosecurity measures and regulatory guidelines.
  • Work closely with consulting veterinary team, farm managers, nutritionists, and corporate management to optimize bird health and performance.
  • Investigate and manage potential disease outbreaks, coordinating with regulatory and government agencies when necessary.
  • Oversee training of farm personnel on biosecurity, animal welfare, and disease prevention practices.
  • Analyze health and production data to identify trends and recommend improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with USDA, FDA, and state veterinary regulations.
  • Other responsibilities as determined by needs and company management.
Primary Skills:
  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree with a focus on poultry or avian species.
  • Licensed and accredited to practice veterinary medicine in Indiana, Illinois, and Ohio
  • Preferred 3-5 years of experience in poultry health management, commercial egg production, and/or related field.
  • Strong knowledge of poultry diseases, biosecurity principles, and regulatory compliance.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and address health concerns efficiently.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with farm management teams, government agencies, and industry professionals.
  • Ability to analyze data and generate reports on flock health and performance.
